Who I Am and Why I Do This Work

I’m Naomi Galinski, PhD, a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), Somatic Trauma Therapist and Nervous System Specialist.

My career began in academia and the corporate tech world, but by the time I finished my PhD, years of anxiety, migraines, and pushing through exhaustion had caught up with me. My body gave out, and I entered a health crisis with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic insomnia, migraines and IBS.

Four years into trying to find relief, I discovered somatic work and finally understood why talk therapy, meditation, and supplements weren’t helping.

My nervous system needed a different approach. That discovery led me to retrain as a psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner.

Today, I draw on over 15 years of personal and professional experience to support high-achieving women who feel stuck in burnout, overwhelm, or chronic illness.

My work combines nervous system education with somatic trauma healing, inner child work and breaking transgenerational patterns. Together, these approaches help you to feel more grounded and resilient so you can start enjoying your life again.
